Link Group recently launched its first Learning Resource Centre known as the "Development Zone" within the Paisley management area office. This facility provides learning and training material for a wide range of self-development topics useful for both work related skills and general knowledge. The material contained within the Development Zone covers not only operational issues within Link but also general training and information in the form of publications, training videos/DVDs and software.
It is envisaged that further Development Zones will be operational within Link's other area offices in Falkirk, Edinburgh and Lanarkshire by the end of September 2004.
The Development Zone has been set up to encourage employees to develop their skills through active participation in programme modules and to research and request other learning materials within a context of continuous development within the workplace.
