Hodge Court, Balmore Road

Link Group is contributing to the regeneration of Possilpark in Glasgow.

Link has demolished the former school building at Hodge Court on Balmore Road which had been converted to single person flats by GAP Housing Association nearly 30 years ago. The re-inforced concrete structure was failing and the standard of accommodation did not meet current needs and expectations.

58 new homes are now being built on this site, both mainstream and sheltered.

A mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom accommodation will be provided at a cost of £4.2 million, with completion in May 2005. The contractor is Cruden.

Several tenants who lived at Hodge Court in its former guise intend to return. Link appreciates the assistance in decanting offered by Queens Cross and North Glasgow Housing Associations.
