Link Group celebrated its 40th anniversary in September this year.
During the celebrations, over 450 balloons were released by tenants, school pupils and others throughout Link's areas of operation.
Link offered a prize of a Playstation 2 to the sender of the balloon which travelled furthest.
The winner turned out to be 5-year-old Kailib Gibson-Shields, a pupil at Westfield Primary School in Cumbernauld. The result was announced by Link chief executive Craig Sanderson at a packed assembly at the school on 15th November.
The prize will be presented to Kailib in the near future at Largs on the yacht of the Edinburgh-based sailor, Eaun Haig, who fished the winning balloon out of the Clyde to the north of Arran.
