LinkLiving Service Users Event

Forty two of LinkLiving’s service users and more than twenty staff recently attended the third annual Service User Event, held this year at Drummond Community High School in Edinburgh.

The organising committee was made up of service users from each of LinkLiving services (Falkirk, Fife, East and Midlothian and Edinburgh) and several support staff.

The various activities on offer included Circus Skills, Drumming, Personal Safety and Art Sessions, many people producing some great T Shirt designs, mosaics and glass panels.

Service Users also had the opportunity to discuss with staff in small groups the type and levels of service they receive.

Also available on the day were a number of information stalls (including Linkwide’s  Benefits Advice Team ) and the Supporting People Campaign Group led by service users had information about the proposed cuts to the funding programme and information about Service User Involvement activity within LinkLiving.

It was a good opportunity for service users and staff alike to get to know each other better and to meet up with old friends. Generally the day was a success with good feedback.
