A partnership between Falkirk and District Association for Mental Health (FDAMH) and local housing organisation Linkwide (part of the Link Group) has resulted in a new centre for FDAMH which is enabling it to deliver its services more effectively.
Link owned a plot of land in Victoria Road, Falkirk, which it sold to FDAMH. The association then took on Link to develop its new centre. FDAMH recently moved into the completed building.
Anne Wallace, Manager of FDAMH said: “Our new centre really is 21st century stuff. Previously, we were split between two offices, overcrowded and only partially accessible to some of the people who use our services. Now, we have all our projects on one site in a building that is designed specifically for the work we do.”
Linkwide Development Officer Victoria Geddes said: “This was a mutually beneficial partnership and it’s great to see FADMH set up in their new home and hear that the building is meeting their needs.”
