Tenant Participation

Link encourages tenants to participate in the decision-making processes which govern the way their homes are managed. This is a two-way process which involves the sharing of information and ideas and aims to improve the standard of service Link provides. The consultation process is set out in the Tenant Participation Strategy 2007-2010[PDF].

There are numerous ways tenants can become involved:

Tenants Advisory Panels exist where tenants meet with Link staff to discuss local and national issues.

Public Relations and Tenant Participation Team Tenants can apply to join this team which consists of staff and tenants. Its objectives are to seek out innovative ways of involving and consulting with tenants, to improve communication methods and to oversee the production of the national and local newsletters.

Email group Tenants can join this group which has been formed to allow consultation by email.

Surgeries are held regularly in several local areas. This is where Link staff are on hand to answer any queries about local activities.

Registered Tenant Organisations Several residents' associations have chosen to be registered with Link which makes them eligible to apply for grants from Communities Scotland.

For more information about how to become involved, please contact your Housing Services Officer or the Tenant Liaison Officer.
