1. Social Rented Property

Applying for tenancy of a property at an affordable social rent from Link depends on your preferred location - whether it's in Edinburgh or elsewhere in Scotland.

If you wish to rent one of our properties outwith Edinburgh, you must register with homehunt®.

Details of allocations through the homehunt scheme are available by clicking on this link.

If you wish to rent in Edinburgh, there is a different process. You need to apply to the EdIndex Common Housing Register. Here's what to do:

Obtain an application form from Link Housing's Customer Service Centre at Watling House, Callender Business Park, Callender Road Falkirk (tel. 0845 1400 100); from any City of Edinburgh Council local neighbourhood office; or from any other Housing Association in Edinburgh

Complete the form, giving details of your family and circumstances.

Post the form in the pre-paid envelope supplied with the application form.

The Edindex Central Administration Unit then processes the form. The Unit will write to you to advise if you have been accepted onto the Register. If you are successful, you will be allocated an Edindex number.

Property advertisements and details of allocations are avaialble weekly in the Edinburgh Evening News and on the City Council's 'EH - Your Key To Choice' website.

Right To Buy

Some Link Group "secure" tenants have the "Right to Buy" their homes. Link Housing Association administers this scheme. For more information, contact the Customer Service Centre on 08451 400 100.
